Daahuk

Daahuk is a community-driven research and project management entity launched in 2017 to develop the rural enterprise ecosystem in Bangladesh, helping people in poor rural areas. It aims to promote teamwork, build disaster-resilient networks, and support sustainable livelihoods.

Initially, it worked in the Tanguar Haor region and now also operates in Sirajganj, Cox’s Bazar, Kurigram, and Munshiganj. Daahuk believes in community-led change and provides knowledge and skills to help communities grow economically while respecting their culture and environment.

They connect local people with the tourism industry through a digital platform, helping them start small businesses and share their stories to raise awareness. Daahuk has earned multiple national and global recognitions, including PMI South Asia’s Project of the Year – Contribution to Community 2023 and enlistment among the Top 15 Young Global Changers 2024, for its innovative, climate-resilient community empowerment in Tanguar Haor.

The Bangladesh Tourism Board (BTB) was started in 2010 to promote tourism in Bangladesh. It is part of the government and works under the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism. BTB creates marketing campaigns, works with travel agencies, and uses digital media and events to attract visitors.

It promotes famous sites like Somapura Mahavihara in Rajshahi and Kantajew Temple in Rangpur. BTB also helps local businesses provide good services and encourages eco-friendly and cultural tourism. For Expedition North, BTB creates promotional materials and fosters partnerships to attract tourists to Rajshahi and Rangpur, thereby helping these areas grow.

BPC offers guided tours, transportation, and travel packages to help tourists explore places like Puthia temples and Tajhat Palace easily. They also train staff to provide good service.
